Introduction to Evolution and Information Theory
What a fascinating topic, evolution, the science of life - that describes the processes of elements transforming into living systems, without direction, purpose, only survival...fascinating how this can occur in the absence of all that we know from the science of information theory - which defines all animate information from syntax (elements) to semantics (molecules, such as DNA and proteins) to pragmatics (purposeful composition for living systems)...

Hi Luman,
ReplyDeleteHave you read Dr. John Sanford's book "Genetic entropy and the mystery of the genome"? How about Dr. Michael Behe's "Edge of evolution"? Two excellent books which I think would like.

Ok ... After 3 years, is there s question about the comments above?
ReplyDeleteSomething made me think about you recently, Lu. (God's Spirit, of course!) I decided to search for you today (1/5/13) and I found this page. Unfortunately, I am unable to read your whole post, even though I am now following your page!
ReplyDeleteSimply put, I wrote you a long e-mail asking about the Evolution & Natural Selection Theories only to find my contact list too old. Coming here, I was surprised to see you wrote on what I was going to ask you. But like I said, I can't read it all at the moment.
Any suggestions?
P.S.
I was in your 2008 bioethics class at APU SDRC when you split the course in half with Joe Holden. I graduated in 2009, btw.
Thanks for your message Snootch - I remember that course and am currently a toxicology consultant as well as researching epigenetics - one of the best explanations of gene expression.
